LEARNMe White Paper: (.pdf, 2016). The Mercator Network is proud to present the final product of its LEARNMe project: the White Paper on Linguistic Diversity. Two versions are available: a full English-language version, and an abridged edition, already available in English, Catalan, Spanish, Hungarian, Frisian, and Dutch, and Hungarian sign language:
Translators are working hard to make the abridged version available in all languages of the Mercator Network. The abridged WP is an highly accessible document, which contains a clear introduction to the projects’ background and aims, the challenges surrounding linguistic diversity, and a large number of considerations or recommendations to take into account when dealing with linguistic diversity. The full version provides even more information on the projects’ working process, an in-depth discussion of the terminology surrounding the concept of linguistic diversity, as well as a wide range of positive and negative examples from all over (and outside) Europe.
Proceedings of the LEARNMe Closing Conference: (.pdf, 2015). This document contains an extensive report of the final conference of the LEARNMe project, held in Budapest on 18 and 19 September. It contains (English) transcripts of the opening speeches, as well as summaries of all presentations and workshops. The proceedings were assembled by Csilla Bartha, Borbála Pachné Heltai and Szabolcs Varjasi of the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (RIL-HAS).

LEARNMe Position Paper 1 (.pdf, 2014), developed following the first LEARNMe Workshop held in Aberystwyth, 17-18 October 2013, presents and reflects the main tenets of debate that took place over this two-day event, drawing on the eleven discussion papers presented and incorporating the comments and reflections of the 25 participants - 15 invited experts and 10 members of the Mercator Network. This Position Paper was written and developed by Prof. Elin Haf Gruffydd Jones and Ania Rolewska, with the assistance of Anna Lou Dijkstra.
LEARNMe Position Paper 2 (.pdf, 2014) was developed building on the one hand on the experiences made during the first LEARNMe Workshop held in Aberystwyth (17-18 October 2013), and on the other, the second LEARNMe Workshop held in Stockholm, 8-9 May 2014. This Second Position Paper presents the main contents of the presentations, summaries of these posted on Facebook, and discussions that took place over the two-day event in Stockholm. This Position Paper was written and developed by Jarmo Lainio, assisted by Markus Lyyra, and using the earlier documentations of Elin Haf Gruffydd Jones, Ania Rolewska and Anna Lou Dijkstra, as well as the Facebook summaries of David Forniès.
LEARNMe Position Paper 3 (.pdf, 2015) presents the main contents of the presentations and discussions that took place during the third LEARNMe Workshop, held in Barcelona, 8-9 April 2015. In addition, it builds on the previous documents by providing a first analysis of all three Workshops and Position Papers together. It was written by Xavier Vila and Guillem Pujades, with support from multiple colleagues at CUSC – University of Barcelona.
